if the indoor unit is running but not the outdoor:
1. Your capacitor in the outdoor unit may be bad
2. Your condenser breaker may be trippped or off
3. The float switch for the condensate line may be tripped; if the line is backed up
4. If you take off the panel to the outdoor unit and depress the contactor and the unit comes on then you know that your problem is low voltage related (thermostat or circuitry)

Is the indoor fan running at all?

If the motor is not running, but getting power and it spins freely when power is removed, you may only need a capacitor.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
