Did not know Lux is lesser quality. I switched to the Honeywell and am installing now.

the model number of each stat, along with the terminal = color combination of your old stat would help us help you.

Your new stat will not support your multistage heat pump.

I recommend a Honeywell RTH7400 or RTH7500 with autochangeover.

Your old stat...

If you are installing the RTH7400 or RTH7500..
option 170 = 7
190 = 0 (unless you have a Rheem, Ruud, or weatherking outside)
240 = 9 (if you have electric heat for secondary heat)

Thanks Houston 204, I would have not even come close to pulling this off if it hadn't been for you. I went to the Honeywell 7400 and programmed just like you said and it is working flawlessly now. Great job.
