"ACCA Manual N & J speed sheets" , posted Tue 27 May 22:28:user profileedit/delete messagepost reply

Greetings,

ACCA is contributing complementary load speed sheets for excel. Presumably to improve industry reputation by encouraging accurate load calculation for comfort and energy management.
(71% of USA energy is consumed by buildings)

Good way to do load calcs, fairly complicated. You would have to buy the Abridged Manual J book. ($59.00) Or N for Commercial.

EDIT: After watching the video it is not complicated! Like most programs, is takes a while to populate the first template from the manual. After the job measure and the template set-up. You can do a house block load in less than an hour. A room by room wouldn't take much longer.

Download the Speed-Sheets, spreadsheet programs that can be used in conjunction with Manual J-8 Abridged Edition (for residential load calculation) or Manual N 5th Edition (for light commercial load calculation). Has a good on-line tutorial.

While you're at it buy a whole house fan, a carload of insulation, new thermopane windows and hitch hike to work. OK?

The way oil futures traders figure it, if we all hitch hike to work, gas will go down to $9.50 a gallon. Which will really be great if they allow us to own a car.

When all the futures traders go to the penitentiary, do you think they will still be setting the price of gasoline?
