Post the serial # and we can probably tell. I would NEVER buy a used A/C system. Could have a bad compressor, been jolted by a power surge, have moisture or contaminants in the system. Why is it for sale? They are cheap, builders grade units. Buy a new system or take your chances. Good deals don't usually work out.

Hi,
It'll work out at extra cost. Which means no savings but headaches, LOL! Probably no official warranty either.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I took it.

My buddy who is an HVAC guy, finally got back to me as well, he said they are low quality to begin with and also I would just be asking for trouble with a used unit.
He is going to sell me a carrier system at his cost.
I just thought it was like buying a used car, but obviously not.

Thanks again John
