So, with copper prices on the rise, what alternatives are people using? Perhaps a lesser known product? I'm curious, becasue with the current trend of raising copper prices, I really would like to find something else to work with.

PEX is great for water. Maybe we can go back to the good ole days and hand thread galvanized for water. Think I'll retire B4 then. Don't know how those sprinkler fitters worked with that massive old black iron.

To answer the question, mostly hydronic, but I do install domestic as well. I havn't been keeping pace with anything new to the market and just wondered if anything has shown up?

There are many different types of PEX and it is being used for lots of different applications. Google it.
