I am just wanting to see what someone with my experience is worth. For everything I do, I am wondering if I am underpaid. I have 8 yrs experience in HVAC. I work for a small company where it is just the boss and me in kansas. I handle about 80% of all the work load working late hours. I have my epa Type I, II, nate certified, and journeyman electrician. I do everything from residental new installation, furnace and a/c change outs, all duct work fabrication, home inspections, ice machines, all commercial hvac and all hvacr coolers and freezers. I am in the position to buy the business in a few years, but I am also looking out for myself in the short run. Just looking to see what and average pay is for someone with my experience! Thanks!!

You are in Kansas just as I am wages suck anywhere you go except in Kansas City you know that. There are only four major cities KC, Salina, Topeka and Witicha and every thing else is made up of small towns. The average hourly rate is $40-45 for a service call, then the is insurance, vehicle expenses, fuel, worker comp and more. Thats why your wage is low. Stay on track to own the business-Don't buy a business - start a business. You are in the field doing the work start now making customers and turn it into an fine income. With our fine govenor just refinacing the states debt and her eye on VP nothing is going to change soon. Good Luck

that depends what are ur costs in ur area it would be hard to give an amount when thier are other questions i have a cdl licence licenced to install furnaces, boilers, and a/c in fredrick 30 minute drive i could get $10.00 more an hour is it worth my time or $$ for the drive i don't think but you may if you see an add in your area get an interview see what they'd pay not telling you to change but this will give you an idea what others are paying
