My new HVAC system has been installed 6 months ago by Sears. They also replaced my fuse box outside.
Heat pump suddenly stopped spinning. As soon as I touched cover of fuse box, it started again. I turned off it's breaker on a breaker panel and then removed a fuse. It looks like, that fuse with copper ends sits inside of aluminum-based contacts.
I cleaned up contacts (it seems helped), but doubt, this is made right. I also checked, that all wires are tightly screwed to terminals inside of box - they were all ok.
Is this a common practice ? Should I call Sears and get it replaced ? I took few pictures: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Thanks for the answer !
Sincerely Yours, Vlad.
