i have a coleman central unit and it works great only prob is i think the themostat is faulty the dog will bump the wall and it will kick on, bump it again and it will turn off. i just bought and replaced it with the honeywell ct8775c. R(red)= power and W(white)= cooling.... everything matches up piece of cake... not really it do to the central air unit having the hot cold switch on it already that throws the switch on the thermo out the window... the new thermo gets power will cool for approx. 2 min then shut off if i set the hot/cold switch to off or heat the unit will turn on and cool but the thermo will not, wut am i doin wrong? please help me!

I'm not sure I understand your post. Y = cool W = heat G = fan R = power
Are you only using 2 conductors? Do you have a separate stat for heat, or are you flipping a switch at the furnace which reverses the operation of your stat.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
