I forgot to mark the wires before I disconnected my White Rodgers thermostat so I have no idea where they were attached. I would think that most colors would match the beginning letter, however I have a blue wire and a tan wire that I can't figure our where they go. This model does have a C which the new thermostat instructions say not to install because it is battery operated. Help!

Disreguard the colors. You must open up the air handler or furnace and check what terminals the stat wires are connected to. The terminals should match those on the stat.
