I would like to replace my manual mercury switch thermostat with a programmable one for my Trane heat pump. The problem is that I can't find a digital programmable model with the "T" terminal. I know that I can hookup the thermostat without it, but the anticipator reset does have a purpose. So my question is two-fold. Will I notice any difference in the operation of my heat pump? Also, are there any long term effects of not hooking up this function...unit longevity, etc? Thanks in advance.
