All,
I have a Trane XL19i 3H2C Electric Aux Heat Pump I want to hook up to a new Honeywell TH8321 Thermostat. The 4TEE Air Handler uses non-standard designations.
1. X or C are usually the 24VAC common. Is this B on the Trane?
2. Aux is usually W2 or AUX. What is Aux on the Trane?
3. What is emergency heat on the Trane? Is it X2?
4. What is fan on the Trane. Is it G?
5. The outdoor temperature sensor is usually S or S1 & S2. What is it on the Trane?
6. L is usually the equipment monitor. Is this F on the Trane?
7. The Trane has a T terminal. For a mechanical thermostat it is usually a heat anticipator. What is it on the Trane? Is it used with an electronic thermostat?

B is common W1 is Aux on the air handler X2 is not on the air handler, use W2 G = fan There is no sensor terminals on the outdoor unit or fancoil. Use a Honeywell C7089U1006 outdoor sensor.
Do not use the T terminal on your fancoil since it is not on the outdoor unit and your stat doesn't have it either. It is for the BAY28X138 mechanical stat.
Your fancoil comes with the wiring diagram for the 2 compressor outdoor unit you have. Pay special attention to any BK or O jumper instructions if it has any.
Set stat option 170 to 12 190 = 0 240 = 9
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
