I have a Carrier Weathermaker 8000 furnace and recently the blower fan does not run. I noticed that when I set the Thermostat from AUTO to Run the Fan does not come on a faint click can be heard.
What is the best way to troubleshoot this issue?
I suspect the issue is with the cirucit board or blower motor.
Does anyone know how I can manually test the blower motor?

You can apply the appropriate voltage to the blower with a jumper wire. Call a technician if you are not familiar with this type of work. There are more ways than one to fry yourself in an attic.

The click is the fan relay in the t-stat closing. Start troubleshooting at the furnance, verify control voltage, verify line and load voltage, check capacitor, free movement of the blower wheel for starters.
