Hi,
We recently purchased our house. Within 2 months the outside unit of the Air condition has stopped working. The technician indicated that the compressor has stopped working and the whole unit will have to be replaced. Our current unit was a 10 seer. The new unit will be 13 seer. Will it be compatible with the 10 seer Air handling unit?

A failed compressor does not require a full unit replacement. The service company is trying to sell you something you might not need. If the engine in your auto locks up do you replace the motor or replace the car? Get a second opinion.

nope short ans sweet you need to upgrade your system may as well get both
