Hello, I have a Tempstar 12 Heat Pump A/C. Recently the blower fan motor has been stopping and smelling. After turning off for a while it will run again. while stopped the motor is extremely hot and it smels like it is burning. All i know about the motor is that it has a internal thermal overload protection switch to stop the fan. I cleaned the blades, oiled up the blades, cleaned the condensor, and checked the wiring was secure. Any tips on what to do next or how to solve?

Although it could be a faulty capacitor I'm afraid you'll need to replace the motor at this point.
