We have a carrier split system model # Fa4an036-38ycc036-3. It will not cool. It is only blowing hot air. We have made no changes. It was just working one day and stopped the next. It has been working for over 7 years with no problems. Any suggestions?

You need to post more info. Is the outside fan spinning? Is the compressor humming?
If the work aint tight it aint right!

Turn the circuit breaker off for the outdoor unit. Wash the outdoor coil with water. Change the air filter. Reset the circuit breaker to ON, verify that the t-stat is calling for cooling. If the A/C starts cooling, might have been dirty; call a service company and have them service the A/C. If the outdoor unit doesn't start ( compressor and condenser fan ) cal a service company.
