hello am quite new and i wanted to kno if any one had links to, guides or How to's on how to Recover on hvac systems. i kno the simple what goes where like Blue hose on the low side and stuff but Its what am i sopost to read on the manifold gauges is what is killin me.

You need a recovery machine to recover refrigerant. After you have the machine and recovery tank hooked up properly, the machine pulls refrigerant out of the system and pumps it into the recovery tank. You're looking for 0 PSI (or a slight vacuum) on the gauges to indicate the system has no refrigerant left in it.
If you're asking about pumping down a system - where you pull the refrigerant back into the condenser - you close the discharge valve on the outdoor unit and run the system in cooling mode until the pressure on both gauges is 0. Then close the suction valve and then turn the power off to the condensing unit. This will remove refrigerant from the lineset and evaporator coil for service.
