Greetings,

I just purchased a home that has been vacant for nearly 6 months the power has been out since then and everything is fine but when my home inspector was doing his checks he was unable to get the ac unit to start up. He checked the power etc and everything looks checks out. The furnace and air circulation system works flawlessly we just cant get the ac unit to startup. Can you provide somoe tips to give a better idea of what could be wrong.

I dont know exactly what model the unit is. It just says Carrier Puron High Efficieny and thats its. The home was built in 2005 so I cant imagine that much can be wrong with it. Please advise.

-Jason

It you have an infinity or evolution system, disconnect red low voltage wire at condensor momentarily. If it doesn't start then, you will have to place a call for service

Check the disconnect (outside by the unit). It may be off.

Greetings,

I wish it were that simple. I did check the disconnect and the breaker is on. I also checked the panel that feeds it. As soon as I can find my line probe I will see if it is energized at the ac unit itself. Since we just moved in it is burried somewhere.
It would be nice if it is just a bad breaker, but I think something else is screwy. Thanks for your advice.
