I have a Trane XE1000 A/C unit. It is just over 8 years old and the outside coil is leaking. The tech says it must be replaced but is having hard time locating one. Is there anyone out here that has any ideas where I may find one or any other suggestions.

If in fact the leak can't be repaired. Replace your unit. You wont be saving that much if you do find a coil, Good luck.
