The unit is an old E12 Electric Furnance.
Okay, have an OLD Lennox electric furnace-A/C. Trying to replace the original T-stat with Honeywell RTH7400. Now here is the old wiring:
Orange - X Green - F Yellow - Y Brown - VR Black - R Blue - V White - E Red - M Then a seperate two-wire bundle: Red - A White - L
The Honeywell has:
RC R O/B Y G C L E Aux
It says if V and VR have seperate wires, contact a contractor.
GRRRR!
Can anyone help, or am I a slave to the HVAC tech?
Thanks.

Seriously, you may want to look at getting a new electric furnace. Lennox does not make them anymore and the elements are obsolete. Yours I believe is designed to work with a heat pump with multiple stages of backup electric heat. Wickedly complicated. Like I said it is probably obsolete. They do make coil blower units with electric elements but not furnaces. I sell the Nortron units and the new ones with ECM motor are very good.

Thanks.
I would love to, but the landlord won't replace it. I am in an apartment. I bought the new T-stat and probably have to pay for installation also. So, hopefully I can get someone to give me the cross-reference to do this myself.

Be very careful. If you mess it up they will blame you and charge you the repair $$. If it ain't broke, leave it alone.
