I have the Trane XE 90. Not sure of the exact model number but I can check later and let you know.

We plan on finishing the basement and building a frame and door around the unit to hide it. Does anyone know if there is a minimum distance in inches that the frame around the unit has to be? Currently we have a little more than 5" from the unit to the door. Is this enough for ventilation as well? I can not seem to find this information online anywhere and any help would be appreciated.

Check installation documents or call your gas supplier and ask for clearances and ventilation for your furnace. If you build it in you may effect the unit, cause a safety issue or violate the gas code.
