Please help if anyone knows. I want to replace the thermostat in my house with a digital one. I do not know if my heat pump is a multi stage or single stage or if the one I brought is compatible. If anyone knows please respond and advise. Thanks a bunch
The thermostat is made by Hunter model 44860 (Ambitouch 7 day)
The heat pump model says American Standard (I guess is a Trane company??) Model number TWV030B140A1
Please let me know if there is more that is needed.

Thank you guys so much....I installed the thermostat this morning and it seems to be working fine.

You have a 2.5 ton heat pump single stage. This t-stat should work fine.

oh yeah, and yes that is a trane unit, american standard is no more. but trane will still support it.

If you have Auxillary / emergency heat, you have a multistage heat pump.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
