I am designing my own air conditioning system just to see if I can, I am designing from a 2 ton through a 5 ton system can I use the same liquid and vapor line sizes or should each one be different based on size? Is there a standard size and if so where can I find this info?

Usually you will be using a 3/8" liquid line and 7/8" suction line ACR.

Yes, I am designing for the fun of it. I like to design tings to see if they work.
By the way I am a outstanding member of the UAW!

lineset is sized by size of equipment and length of the run. each manufacturer has their own specs.
