i have an American Standard Freedom 80 single stage furnace. i just purchased a Honeywell RTH 6300B T-stat.
The wires on my furnace are W (white), R (red), G(Green) and C (Blue). There is no wire coming out of the Y on my furnace. My t-stat says not to connect the C wire and doesn't have a corresponding option.
When everything is connected, my furnace will not come on... no blower, nothing. I tested the power outlet and it is not working. The breaker is not flipped and the light that is wired to the same breaker works. Am I missing something? can the T-stat short out the power? Is there a broken Circuit?

If the t-stat doesn't have a C termination, then the stat is a battery powered component. Install the batts.

I did manage to figure that out. It still leaves me with the problem of no power to my furnace. There is a light and a socket wired in line with the furnace and both work. So, the breaker is ok. The power at my furnace does not work though. Is there a breaker on the furnace that I should be looknig for?
