We have a Trane air handler model#TWE042P130a0 and heat pump model #TWP042C100a. This morning, the heat was turned on at which time a load audible alarm sounded. As soon as the thermostat was set to off, the alarm went quiet. Do the trane units have some kind of alarm and what's it for? A few minutes later, the unit was turned back on and this time the alarm did not sound off.
