My old thermostat is Amana Model 1213404. This is how it was connected;
black wire to c
green wire to g
orange wire to o/b
yellow wire to y
red wire to r
white wire to w2
blue wire to e
My new thermostat is Honeywell model RTH7500
It has connections

y
o/b
rc
r
aux
e
l
My Amana heatpump has electric aux heat and emerg heat.
How do I connect existing wires to new thermostat?

C = black
G = green
Y = yellow
O/B = orange
Rc & R = red (use provided jumper)
Aux = white
E = blue
You must also configure this stat to match your system.
Set option 170 to 7.
Set option 190 to 0.
240 = 9 for electric auxilary heat
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
