Encounterd strange problems with fan/Blower Motor. Have forced hot air heat/AC system. Noticed when sytem called for cooling, ouside AC compressor kicked in but fan/blower motor did not. If I shut off system from thermostat then turned on again, called for cooling, everything worked fine. However, sometimes the blower motor would shut off aftera few minutes (sometimes it would stay on).
Further, with neither heat nor AC system on, if I attempted to turn on (from thermostat control) just the fan/blower motor, it would not start. If I shut it off, then immediately turned it back on, it immediately started. Sometimes it would continue running, sometimes it would stop after a few minutes.
I then replaced the Run Capcitor. When I first started the fan/blower motor, it had the same problem; would not start, but after shutting off and turning immediately back on, it then started. Now, however it seems to start and run everytime and I'm not sure if I fixed the problem or if it will start to act flaky again at some point. Is it possible, that when I first installed the Run Capacitor, that it needed to "charge" fully before it operated correctly? And that now that it has been connected, it is now charged fully and therefore operates correctly?

run caps do not need to charge to simplify it they throw the windings out of phase. more likely a bad control board. is the motor getting too hot to put your hand on? if so likely bad motor they get what is called a flat spot(slang) in the windings and over heat and act in a simular way. My first test would be to pull the wires off of the board and temp them in straight to power and see how the motor runs. if you dont know what you are doing it would be way cheaper to hire a pro, you can make things expensive real fast by screwing around.

How ran capacitor is charge? but what is possible with the system bad relay main board control If you have relay built in .
any help counts
