I have an old Bryant Type SE-G furnace. What type of filter is recommended? How is it installed? I do not have a Service Manual.

any filter that fits is a good thing Dont use the cheap fiberglass ones they are useless on most furnaces. use a pleated filter 3 to 5 dollers at a home center and you will be all right or even better call a pro and have the system checked for the season, you might be saving (literaly) your own life, and ask them to install and show you how to install the correct filter for your system.
