Hi,

I just purchased and installed the Totaline p474-1100REC (receiver) and using 1 wireless thermostat with it --p474-1100RF.

The thermostat seems to operate correctly where it will signal to the receiver to turn on the heat if I lower the temperature below the current temperature. However, when I raise the desired temperature above the current level or simply go to the mode where it says off, the heat will not stop in the house. There was no issue with this with the old honeywell circular dial control on wall.

Here is my set up which is pretty simple and I caveat this by saying this is my first installation of a thermostat. I undid the honeywell system on the wall and there were only two wires connected -- a Red and a white. There was no diagram on the honeywell system to tell me which was which.

I then connected the Red assuming it was heat into 'W1, O, B' and the white, assuming that was power into the 'R' on the Receiver. I then turned the circuit breaker back on for our heat and the power was lit on the receiver and it operated as discussed above. I did also set the wireless thermostat to channel 2 and adjusted the receiver circuit board so that channel 2 is on and everything else is off.

Any advice here since I have power, can seem to turn it on but can't get heat off? I appreciate your help in advance.

Regards,

Andrew

In the heating mode you raise the desired temp above the room temp to start heating. You lower the desired temp below room temp to stop the heat.

The red wire is usually the 24V from the furnace. The white is usually brings 24V back down to the furnace. Just have a look and see what color wire is connected to the W terminal at the furnace to be sure.
