Folks -
We have a Trane XT 300 in the upstairs. The panel shut off this morning with no display.
- We changed the batteries
- Now we have a message that reads "1:00PM -AC"
- The 1:00PM part is because we need to reprogram the unit
Question
- What is the "-AC" due to?

It means there is no A/C power, and it is running on the battery back-up. Your control circuit is dead.
It's only a shock if your not expecting it!
