All,
On their 2/4TEE Variable-Speed Air Handlers, Trane provides for enhanced humidity control by using an optional humidistat (or by using their pricey communicating comfort control system).
The field wiring diagrams show this optional humidistat wired between terminals R & BK on the fan coil. Question: Do the contacts on the humidistat MAKE when humidity is above setpoint or do they BREAK? I would say they BREAK, but it is not clear if this is how it works.

Raise or lower the humidity setpoint, measure voltage across the contacts, or wire terminations. Closed contacts should read 0 volts, open contacts will read secondary voltage.
