We have a 10 year old lennox furnace and have had to replace the ciruit board three times (cost around $300-$400). Is this normal - do others feel like I do that it is time to throw it out!

I have a lennox that is about 5 years old. We also were told circuit board was faulty about 3 years ago. Fortunately it was under warranty so it was free. Same problem last year, but this time they cleaned and removed rust from a sensor. That was the same problem as before. After cleaning everything it started working again. I asked the mechanic why they replaced the board last time and he said just because it was under warranty that he might as well?????? So guess what the past 3 days using furnace, will blow, but not heat the house. Same thing as previous 2 years. Have called mechanic out again? We will see what he says. I would advise, that if your mechanic isn't doing a great job cleaning, and removing any kind of rust off of the metal sensor. You might go with another mechanic service. They might just be taking your money...
