My six year old forced air Ruud furnace isn't working. The induction fan won't start unless I turn it by hand first. I bought a new one and that one didn't work either. I checked the incoming voltage and all is well at 120. The pressure switch is open and needs a little help closing, but the inducer fan seems to be a separate issue and isn't starting on its own to create draft. I hotwired the original fan motor and it had the same problem as when it is installed (so it shouldn't be the board right?). I don't want to do this with the new fan motor as I hope to get my money back if it is also bad (what are the chances of getting a dud?)
