I bought a Hunter 44110 for my home.
I have a TRANE Central Air Unit.
My unit has eight sets of wires as follows:
Top Row of first five R: Red (x2) O: Orange (x2) B: Medium Blue (x1) and Light Blue (x1) Bottom Row of first five G: Green (x2) T: Dark Brown (x2)
Top Row of second three W1: Off White (x1), Darkest Blue (x1) W2: Black (x1) Bottom Row of second three Y1: Yellow (x2)
Looks like this: ____R_____O_____B__________W1_____W2___ _______________________________________ _______G_____T________________Y1_______
Not to confuse you but there is also a Y2 off to the side so the whole thing actually looks like this: ____R_____O_____B__________W1_____W2____ _______________________Y2_______________ _______G_____T________________Y1________ There are no wires connected to Y2! So I assume it is not important. How do I hook the 44110 to my TRANE?
Mike

hey, I am not in the know. but have some troubles that I have worked though on heat pumps. G is the fan motor 24v. Blue on the trane people is the common. So, that is not much, but you can ck the web site for "rite temp" thermostats, that has some info on wiring their products, and it is generic for most heat pumps, 4,5,6 wire etc. hmmmm yeah, turn off the power first.
