I am considering a new heat pump system. But not sure what size I have now or if it is even correctly sized to begin with. My bi-lvel home is approx 1800sq ft. Some of the research I have have done so far says 70% of installed units are incorrctly sized. I currently have a Tempstar CH5530VKC1 installed in 1996. I see no indication on the label as to tonage or seer. My outside unit looks to be in great shape and runs as it should. I am most concerned with the age of the system and my inside coil I am sure has some air flow restriction because of the corrosion between the fins. Can I feesably just replace the inside unit coil and maintain my current system.
