I'm trying to install a new Hunter Thermostat model#44668. I have eight wires coming out of the wall, and the new thermostat only has seven connections and all of the lettering does not match up.

Old thermostat (Honeywell model #T874)

All of my wire codes match up to my new hunter thermostat, except the "X" wire. Please help

You have the wrong stat. Return it and get a multistage heatpump stat.

Your new stat is not compatible with youtr multistage heat pump. I recommend a Honeywell RTH7400 or an RTH7500 with autochangeover. function 170 = 7, function 190 = 0.

Color codes vary, Especially C.
