If the motor spins freely with power removed, you may only need a capacitor.

Caps can hold a charge for 90 seconds after removing power. Be safe.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.

Unbolt everything that doesn't look like a motor, and it's done! :-)

Seriously it's pretty easy. Most units are designed so that you can remove the blower assy after removing a few screws. disconnect all wiring going to motor, paying attention to what goes where. Once you have the blower assy out, loosen the set-screw holding the blower wheel onto the shaft, and unbolt the motor mounts. you may need some penetrating oil to loosen the motor shaft, and it also helps to get hold of the shaft (without damaging it) and twist the blower back and forth to work it off.

Reverse the process with a new motor and it's done.

It's only a shock if your not expecting it!
