I just purchased the Hunter Thermostat model #44860, which is replacing an old manual Honeywell thermostat.
This is my issue, I have for the most part installed the new thermostat, but there is one wire that I can not figure out where it goes.
There are the wires codes from the OLD unit.
O W2 G E X R Y L B (no wire attached)
Here are the options that the new Hunter unit gives me the wire connections.
RC/R C (manual states "if available") Y1 Y2 W2 E O B G L
Please give me some advice so I can figure out where the "X" wire should go.
Thanks, Mike

X = C Be sure to configure for heat pump operation as described on pages 28 and 29.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast...so I attached the "X" wire to the "C" slot.
I turned the power back on, the air seems to work, but I can not get the heat to kick back on.
Thanks, Mike

Did you configure for heat pump operation?

Yes, I followed the instructions for the programing. But that still did not make the heating unit turn on...The only thing that is working right now is the air.
Any other ideas????

Have you jumpered Rc/R to RH?

Yeah...I have heat!
I called Hunter customer service, told them the issue I was having and they said to us the jumper wire like you advised.
The reason I had not done this is because there is a mis-print in their installation manual and it did not tell me to use the jumper wire between Rc/R to RH.
Anyway, problem solved and I have a warm home. I just wanted to say thanks for all of your help.
Thanks again, Mike
