Hi all, hopefully someone can help me here. I have an Amana roof mounted package unit, model #APG13360701AA. The heater stopped working and the light in the control panel flashes twice for "open pressure switch". From what I've researched the pressure switch is closed whent the I.D. Blower kicks on. Now to the problem:
I can hear the blower receiving power (buzz) but it's not turning. My mechanical experience leads me to believe that the motor has siezed or is stuck for some reason but I've read that a 24v input is required as well to operate the motor. So my question is... would the motor even buz without the 24v input or is my assumtion that the motor is fried the most likely problem?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! -Mark Folsom, CA

The exposure to weather and high operating temperatures can cause the inducer blower assembly to fail.
If this is the case, the heat exchanger should be inspected before investing in a new inducer assembly.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
