I need help! I have a Honeywell T86111 Heat pump thermostat and a trane xe1000 heat pump unit. We have only been in the house a couple of months now and we are struggling to control bills. I turned the unit to off mode about a month ago and the fan to auto. about a week or so later, the fan switched itself to on and came on at will. I turned the fan back to auto and today the freaken fan turned itself back to on again. I dont have an owners manual for the thermostat so I am not sure if there is a programming feature that I need to control. The other problem I have is that when I have the unit on and set to say 75, the stupid unit keeps alternating between heat and cool to keep the temp at 75. I want the thing to turn off when it goes below 75 and not to come on again until the temp gets to say 76. I need help!!!

I recommend a Honeywell RTH7600.
