I've got a trane heat pump that has the pencil type crankcase heater. The leads broke off and I am trying to replace it. The problem is the heater is rusted into the crankcase heater holder. Channel Locks and penetraing oil arn't working. Any ideas? It would be easier if I could remove the pump, but that means evacuating the system :(

call trane and get a wrap around crankcase heater
