I have a ducane heat pump/ fraser johnston electic ignite furnace, it is approx 9 yrs old. I am having problems when i turn it on it kicks off and on most of the time. It seems if I go out and adjust the internal thermostat inside the heat pump I can get it to run but it will go abck to what it was doing before eventually ( kicking off and on , over and over) I am sitting down by the furnace right now and it doesn't seem as the furnace is igniting. I believe the heat I am getting is just from the heat pump. Does anyone know what might be going on with it? thanks

you may have lost your refrigerant and it is cycling on the low pressure switch.
