my furnance is 2 years old. It's making a clicking noice everytime it trying to run. I believe that it's the pressure switch. I can by pass the switch and it works fine, no clicking noice. I purchased a new switch, installed it and it's still clicking. What else could be the problem?
Thanks

The fist thing is.... you should never bypass any limit or pressure switches. There is a reason they are installed in your furnace. A pressure switch is there for your venting. Since you did not state what brand/model/serial 80% or 90%+ of your unit I do not know the next step to take. You might have a hole in the inducer hose or the place where it is connected to the motor might be plugged up due to your unit being over fired since the generally leave the factory for sea level.
If you want to give some more information I may assist you.
The best thing a person can do is pay a diagnostic fee to a flat rate company that is licensed and trained to find out what is wrong first. Then you have the option to fix it yourself. It is far less expensive than guessing with high dollar parts or worse giving your family carbon monoxide poisoning.

90% Rheem model #RGRA06em. I did have someone come out to diagnose the problem, and they determined that it was the pressure switch. Being the weekend and there was no place open that we could get the part, and we needed heat, as it's winter here, they bypassed the switch so that i could have heat until monday when i could go and get the part. After installing the switch, it continued to do the clicking noice, and wouldn't fire up. How do i check to see if the hose is pluged, ect?
Thanks

since it is a 90% you either have a restricted vent or a bad inducer motor.
The vent can be checked by finding where the two PVC pipes exit the house. With the furnace off check the openings for restrictions.
Ice could be forming on the openings. birds nest inside pipe like a starling nest wasp nest etc...
a technician should have found this out with a simple pressure test before diagnosing a bad pressure switch.
if the inducer motor is bad the water column will test low as long as the secondary heat exchanger is not cracked or plugged. this can also be caused by a frozen or plugged condensate line.
