Hello,
We have a York gas furnace, it has been coming on by itself. The thermostat is set to off. but it is still running. Where whould I start to look for the problem. Is it in the thermostat or in the furnace? Please advise, I need al the help I can get.

Hi ED the first thing that comes to mind is the fan relay temperature setting. Now if this a furnace where there is an electronic board in it, it may be the board. Does the fan come back on after a heating cycle or does it seam to happen anytime. If it’s the thermostat it would be the terminal labeled G you could disconnect this wire as a test just make sure not to use you’re A/C with this wire off.
