Once the thrmostat turns off the blower should continue to blow until the furnace is cool enough to turn off. However it still does not turn off. If I tap it, then it turns off. I just put in a a new honeywell fan limit control. It is identical to the one i took out, but the blower still won't turn off unless i tap the furnace.
Is there anything else that could cause the blower to stay on?
All of your help is appreciated.

I tried to adjust the limit control and it did not help. You would think that it would work since it is a new fan limit control. If i even tap it teh slightest amount, it does turn off.
If I tap the cam-stat time delay relay it seemd to turn off too. Doe sthat thing have anything to do with it? Then again, it may be possible that tapping that makes the fan limit control vibrate, hence turning it off.
I am stumped and it is really frustrating. LOL

At least your laughing, I can’t see it but when you tell me you tap on it and it goes off it sure sound like it’s the control. Is this the black squire one or the silver one with the dial and 3 settings?

If you go that link, the first picture you see towards the top og the page is the control unit I just purchased. It's a honeywell.

Ok are the 3 settings set at 200,150 and 100 ? if they are try 110 for the low one. I may just be a calibration issue.

Thanks for the help man. i will try different settings and see if it works. If not I will bite the bullet and call a service tech out here.

Since you have a fan/ limit control I can’t see it being anything else. There is one other relay but it’s used for cooling. Try turning up the low (off) setting on the control as long as the fan doesn’t cycle on and off after a heating cycle you may be able to get away with a setting of 100.
