I replaced my old converted coal burning now oil burning boiler with a tidy little colmar unit but with the advent of the tiny boiler and maybe the circulation pump there is a lot of gurgling coming from the system. I didn't replace the expansion tank, I bled all the rads several time but the gurgles still abound. Any ideas??

maybe tommorrow

Hi Winston, If you refilled the system with new water it’s most likely air and it will take quite a while to work it’s self out. The main problem with air, is the water is traveling too quickly past the bleeder port for the air to go up it. On larger systems air scoops are used for this reason. The best way to bleed a system is to shut off the pumps and allow the water to settle then bleed out the air and restart the pumps and repeat this process several times.

P.S. if you can hear the water flowing theirs air in it.
