I have an Amana gas pack rooftop unit. It has the A/C and furnace all in one. Well I turn the furnace on and I can hear it on the roof doing it'ss thing with lighting the burners and all, but it kicks the blower on way to early. The furnace blows out cold air for the first 5 minutes. Most furnaces I know allow the burners to heat up the exchanger and then kick the blower on. I think a setting needs to be changed so that the blower doesn't come on as fast. What do you think it is and can I fix it myself. Thanks.

Being a roof top unit, and now being fulmar with AMANA. I can only assume it’s a electronic timer. I am actually considering it may not be a fan problem but a burner problem where it should heat sooner than 5 minutes. But then again I have worked on one where it heated a glycol loop and this need some time to warm up.
Xenos.
The best way to escape a problem is to solve it.

If your amana has a main control board it might have adjustable dip switches for blower timing..timing will be listed on the board or data plate. if it has a round two terminal blower switch or rectangular brown switch the switch can be replaced with one of a higher setting call a pro they have better access to the parts..
