hello everyone im having a problem with my trane xl 1100 ac/furnace combo. it was installed in 1993. now im kind of new to hvac but im pretty handy. the problem is as follows: the heater worked fine last year, however this year when i first turned it on it started "running" air was coming out the exhaust outside but the furnace never "fired" and stared blowing warm air inside. if i cycle the inside thermostat 2 or 3 times it will come on. i assume this is some kind of pressure switch or "striker?" problem. any help will be greatly appreciated.

If the Venter motor starts but nothing else happens the most common problem would be with the pressure switch. Verify the tubes as well as the venting system.
