I have a janitrol a/c unit that I had the compressor replaced on. It worked fine for about three days, then it quit cooling. Everything appears to be working fine other than when the compressor cycles on it shuts off after about three seconds. The freon lines never froze up, both fans are working strong. My a/c guy has been swamped and hasn't been able to make it back out, but said it sounded like an electrical, not mechanical problem, making it short cycle. Could this be caused by a faulty control board (the one located in the bottom half of my furnace? My sweety is used to cold air, If mama ain't happy, ain't no body happy! Thanks

Low refrigerant! Find the leak and fix it.

Sounds like it may be short of refrigerant and cycling on a low pressure control.

Xenos.

The best way to escape a problem is to solve it.
