Our air conditioner quit cooling. We noticed that the condensor fan wasn't turning and the copressor was humming. We called for service and first he replaced the capacitor. The fan came on and stayed on for 10 minutes before cutting off again. He came back out and replaced the fan motor. Once again it stayed on for a few minutes and then shut off. He then cleaned it with acid, but still the same problem. He then replaced the fan blades, but still the same problem. We now have a water hose constantly watering it down to keep the fan going. What could be the problem?

look at the motor name plate and make sure you got the right capacitor it is usually a 5uf-440 or 370 cap if you got the right capacitor look at the high voltage wire connection if you have wire nuts make sure they are connected tightly.(check all connections)
