I have a Carrier 38ck042330 model number.
Im trying to add about 800 square feet to my house and wonder if this unit will cool 3200 square feet of house, currently cooling 24oo.
2nd question,
The unit sits outside, BIG DOGS, they seemed to think of the unit as their watering post. The fins are corroded on a corner of the unit, is it possible to get new fins or do I have to purchase new coils or just a new unit?

It really depends on the home and where you live. However if your adding 800 sq feet I think you may be looking at a new furnace and A/C.
